How Odds Work
Pokers lets you choose your preferred display format. Here is exactly what each one means and how to read the potential payout from any bet.
The most common format at Pokers and across most Asian and European platforms. Multiply your stake by the decimal number to get your total return — that includes your original stake. So Rs 1,000 at 2.50 returns Rs 2,500 total, meaning your profit is Rs 1,500.
Default at PokersTraditional British format. The left number is what you profit relative to the right number staked. At 6/4, a Rs 4,000 stake wins Rs 6,000 profit plus your original Rs 4,000 back — total return Rs 10,000. To convert: divide and add 1 to get the decimal equivalent (6/4 = 2.50).
Available on RequestAmerican format. A positive number (+150) shows how much profit a Rs 100 stake earns. A negative number (-200) shows how much you must stake to win Rs 100 profit. Less commonly used at Pokers but available for international markets. Positive = underdog, negative = favourite.

Every set of odds implies a probability. Decimal odds of 2.00 imply a 50% chance. Formula: 1 ÷ decimal odds × 100. Knowing this helps you judge whether Pokers is offering value on a given market.
A value bet is when you believe the actual probability of an outcome is higher than what the odds imply. If Pakistan has a real 55% chance of winning but the odds imply 48%, that is a value bet worth taking.
Multiple selections combined into one bet. All legs must win. The odds multiply together, giving much higher potential payouts — but each added leg also increases the risk of the full bet losing.
Used mainly in football. A handicap is applied to the match outcome to eliminate the draw and create two roughly equal outcomes. Reduces the margin and generally produces better value odds than standard 1X2 markets.
Placing bets while the match is already in progress. Pokers offers live betting on cricket, football, tennis and more. Odds shift rapidly as the action unfolds — quick decisions and a sharp eye for momentum shifts make the difference.
Settle a bet early, before the event finishes. If your selection is winning, cash out secures a guaranteed return. If it is losing, partial cash out can recover some stake. Available on selected markets at Pokers.
PSL season is when Pokers runs the most competitive cricket odds — with hundreds of markets per match available live.
Deep Dive
Most people who start betting look at odds and just think about the potential payout — and that is understandable. Bigger odds, bigger win. But the real skill in sports betting comes from understanding what the odds are telling you about probability, and deciding whether the bookmaker has got it right or not. That gap between the bookmaker's implied probability and your own assessment is where all the long-term profit in sports betting comes from.
At Pokers, odds are set by a combination of automated algorithms and experienced traders who monitor markets in real time. Prices shift based on betting volume, team news, pitch reports, and actual in-play events. Understanding why odds move — and how to act on those movements — is one of the most valuable skills any bettor can develop.
Decimal odds are the default at Pokers and for good reason — they are the simplest format to work with. When you see Pakistan at 2.05 against England, that means: for every Rs 1 you stake, you receive Rs 2.05 back if Pakistan wins. Your profit is Rs 1.05 per rupee staked. If you put Rs 5,000 on Pakistan at 2.05, your total return is Rs 10,250 — a profit of Rs 5,250. No mental gymnastics required.
Odds below 2.00 represent favourites — the bookmaker considers them more likely to win than not. Odds above 2.00 represent underdogs. The further above 2.00 the odds go, the more of an underdog the selection is considered. Odds of 10.00 imply roughly a 10% chance of winning — high risk, high reward.
Cricket betting at Pokers is the most popular section on the platform for Pakistani players, and rightly so. Cricket odds shift enormously during a Test match or a T20 game because the game state changes so dramatically. A Pakistan team that is 30 runs ahead in a T20 with 8 wickets in hand might be at 1.25 to win. Four wickets in two overs later, those same odds might be 2.50. Players who watch the match closely and understand how these momentum shifts affect probability can find exceptional in-play value that simply does not exist pre-match.
Beyond match winner markets, Pokers offers total runs over/under, top batsman, top wicket-taker, method of dismissal, innings score ranges, and session betting. Each market has its own set of odds that must be evaluated independently. A strong Pakistan batting lineup might make the match winner odds unfavourable but still leave excellent value on the over/under for total runs scored.
Every bookmaker, including Pokers, builds a small margin into their odds. This is how the platform generates revenue. On a two-outcome market at perfectly fair odds, each side would be 2.00. In practice, you might see 1.95 and 1.95 — the margin is the gap between what the odds imply as combined probability (which exceeds 100%) and 100% itself. Pokers consistently keeps this margin at competitive levels, typically resulting in a return rate above 97% across major markets. The lower the margin, the better the value for the bettor.
The bet calculator on this page is a practical tool for any Pokers player. Before placing a bet, particularly an accumulator, run the numbers through the calculator. Confirm that the potential return justifies the risk. For accumulators, each additional leg multiplies both the potential return and the probability of the full bet losing. A four-leg acca where each leg has 70% probability of winning has only a 24% overall probability of landing. Understanding that number before you confirm the bet makes you a better, more disciplined bettor over the long run.
